Summer Camp 2023

This year two Hattons went to summer camp at ISR, George and Mike.   They spend a fair amount of time in the storm shelters but George still managed to hit some milestones.  Here he is learned to fly fish.

George and his buddy Alex.

George also worked on his riffle shooting badge.
Some much needed pool time.

The girls and I made our way out to camp Wednesday evening for family night and O.A. tap outs.

The Scouts processed down the hill.  George is the one with his hands in his pockets.
Although not attending camp, was in the procession as a member of the O.A.

These photos show the O.A. ceremony.

Standing members in hold up their sash for those elected into the Order.  Mike is behind George.
George was elected by his troop.  Here he is giving his name, the candidates were taken to a tee-pee and given instructions.

Way to go George.  Your hard work and leadership has gotten you elected in the Order of the Arrow.

O.A. is not he only thing George accomplished at camp.  Alex and he were the first in our troop to earn the Mile Swim badge.

He finished but didn't touch the side for dramatic effect.

A celebratory high five for the two swimmers.

That's it for now.  I have a slew of photos to go through from out vacation so come back soon.
