Just 'Cuz

Here are some picture  I took this afternoon.  Enjoy!

St. Louis Trip

We headed down to St. Louis last weekend to see Annie and celebrate AJ making his First Communion.  We went to a park with a space theme and the kids had a blast (pun intended)!

Lucas made some beautiful music for us.

And George drove whatever he could.

Lots of climbing at this playground.

A.J. on the run.

George was all smiles all day, even with total strangers.

Lia made the rounds as well.

God bless Grandma for hanging with the kids.

Hello Uncle Dan.

These turned out kinda fuzzy but here are the pictures of A.J. receiving the body and blood of Christ for the first time.

We had a great time in St. Louis with both sides of the family.  We travel again in about a week to celebrate the twins First Communion.  Then everyone's heading here to celebrate Cecilia's baptism.  Tonight makes the beginning of Tee & baseball for the kids while the soccer season is still on.  So we've got a few things to do. I will try to keep the pictures coming.  Have a great day.

First Food!

Cecilia has been rather fussy lately and showing all the signs for being ready for cereal.  And last night was the night.  Here she is impatiently waiting.

One the first spoonfuls.

She had her mouth wide open for the second spoonful.

It didn't take long for her to clean out the bowl and for George to say "Take my picture!"

We were also lucky enough to have Pete Godlewski drop in while he was in town for work.  He brought with him the first, of I'm sure will be many, gifts to Lia from her Godparents.

All the kids liked having a new lap to sit in and new person to entertain.  It was great to see you Pete!

As you can see, we've had a busy week.  Pat and Becca started soccer, Cecilia started food, I baked 8 dozen cookies for various reasons, and George has accompanied me through it all.  With the sickness gone all we need now is the sunshine to come back.

Easter

Here are some pictures from Easter.  Although she ended the day not feeling so great, Becca looked fabulous before Mass.

Me and my gals.

Looking good Patrick!

You too George, if you'd just smile.

After Mass we headed over to the Showalters for the egg hunt.

Pat got to head out with the "big" kids.

That's it for Easter.  Come back again soon because I've got one more post to do today.

April at Last

After having sickness run through the house for 8-10 days, we were happy to go celebrate a birthday at the end of last week,  Thanks to the Doziers, I have some pictures to share.  First the kids painted some pictures on the driveway.

Then the kids had doughnuts out of a tree, the birthday-girls idea.
George was really excited but the couldn't reach the doughnut.  Mr. Dozier was nice enough to cut it down for him.
Then it was time for some fruit and cheese.

Then it was time to get messy!.  First was a pudding slide, then digging for worms in pasta, followed by cracking an egg on the head.

Becca also took a turn at getting really messy.  She decided that the pudding slide sounded like fun but just felt gross.

Most of the eggs were paper but a few were real as Brooklyn discovered as she cracked one over her head.

It was a fun day and very messy!  We did bring a change of clothes for everyone so we didn't have to clean up the car as well as the kids. The kids were able to enjoy a few a days of sunshine and fresh air before the clouds and rain returned yesterday.
