A Lot of George

We have a lot of George is our pictures this week. He's had a hard week with the heat and teeth and whatever else is bothering him. He has not been sleeping well at all but he did much better last night, which gives me hope.
I got some shots of George in the jolly jumper early this week. He was happy in it for about a half an hour.

I brought by old Strawberry Shortcake dolls and my My Little Ponies and Becca has loved them. George also thinks they're pretty cool.

We also went to watch Mike play soccer on Thursday. The kids had fun with the cones.

Patrick used the cones to set up a construction site.

Doesn't he look like a businessman working at his desk?

George also had his first taste of food this week. This is a little earlier than would like but I was trying to help him sleep better. It did not work so we have not done it again.

And one more of Pat being silly.

That's it for this week. We hope you enjoyed our pictures.

Camping

We went camping two weeks ago. We all had a great time with 12 kids (ages 14 through 4 months) and 8 adults (I won't give you those ages). The kids wasted no time connecting to nature. George had a conversation with a tree.

And Becca and Patrick got into the dirt.

The kids all remembered each other and started to play.

My flip-flops broke on the way so we stopped and got these little gems.

George and Heather got on famously.

Due to the mass amount of rain, we took the kids to McDonalds to run around and enjoy carmel and apples. Here is Alana giving me a weird look.

Davah, Patrick, Austin and Cooper's feet looking at something.

Cooper and George hanging out together.

Zach and Olivia brought their bikes and enjoyed the wet streets.

After a short hike, we all hit the playground.

Iowa 2010

The kids and I went west to Iowa while Mike went South for a bachelor party. This was the sky as I drove over I-35 in Benson IA.

The sun did come out the next day and we headed to the pool. Here's George and I enjoying the water. Thanks to my mom for a lot of these pictures.

Patrick and Becca didn't waste any time and headed right for the sprayers.

It wasn't hard to get a picture with this look on his face. My kids are little fish.

My dad recently had surgery on his back. As an outcome, he has to wear a neck brace and not lift anything more than 15lbs. George just barely made the cut.

I think he enjoyed watching all the kids run around.

George hanging out in the swing and making faces at Gramma.

Hannah made the shorter trip to Winterset to see us. The kids were free with their hugs and kisses despite the fact they haven't seen her in at least a year and a half.

We also went to the farm (LaFollette's) for a party. The kids chased chickens and were thankfully out of the way when the pony went for a run.

They spent most of the time on the swing set....

....until they found the play house.

Thanks to the 'rents for allowing us to take over their home. I come see how put-out they were to have the kids around.

George is 4 months old

George had his 4-month check-up today. He weighted in at 15lb and is 24.75in tall. He smiled big when the doctor wiggled his legs and pushed on his tummy. He was not very happy about getting shots (who is?) but was over it by the time we got to the car.

Here are Patrick and Becca playing on the new stairs.

Speaking of stairs, here they are!

I also took a video of the stairs
