Febuary/March 2024

February is also means birthdays in our house.  George is 14 and acting like a true teenager.

Mary also celebrated a birthday and turned 8!

Cecilia left behind the Cub Scouts by completed her Arrow of Light award.  She has already worked her way up to Scout rank in BSA.

I found Mary like this one morning.

George had freshman orientation and just loved having his picture taken!

Mary showing off her present from Aunt Pat.

Becca at a practice recital for Solo and Assembly.

I have been looking for a Holy Water font to put in our home for awhile now.  One day, one of the sisters who work at our school asked if I would like one that she had.  One of them said Lourdes on it and I knew it was meant for me.

Cecilia decided to try Declamation, which is like a speech contest.  She did very well scoring a 1 with her classmate Rose.

Well, I did it.  I catch you all up on the last 7 months today.  I will try to be better but I can't make any promises.

Welcome 2024

2024 is just as crazy as every other year at so far at our house.

I took the kids and some of their friends ice skating over break.

Mary also made her first reconciliation in January.

Mary and Fr. Bazi have become good friends as they try to out-smile each other.

Catholic School Week was at the end of January.  The kid got to donate to silly string one of the teachers and I got picked.

The best part was Mary sat in front of me.

Christmas

Here is a selection of pictures from the Christmas season.

We had to put the tree on top of Patrick's car.

We adding to our annual trip to South Bend to see family.  The ND Women's basketball team had a game at which they honored Muffet McGraw.

St Pats school Christmas concert is a lot harder for me to get pictures of as I'm busy with my class.  But I did manage to capture Cecilia's first concert playing the trombone.

All the Hatton grandchildren together.

December ended with Patrick becoming an adult.  18 already.

December

December was jammed packed with our 2nd and 3rd State tournament.  Both our  school7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams won the State title.  Cecilia was part of the 7th grade team and got to do enjoy all the hoopla without the pressure of playin.

Mary started playing park district basketball.

We are looking old!

Patrick and Chesterton Academy choir gave a wonderful concert.

That same week, WCHS choir also put on a concert filled with beautiful music.

All the basketball did take a toll on Mary.
