Almost Halloween

Last Thursday the kids and I stood in line for about two hours in order to get the H1N1 vaccine. Being allergy to eggs, Patrick did not get one but the kids deserved a treat. So we took them to McDonald's for dinner and they had a blast in Playland. Here is Patrick with his new friend.

Mike bravely made his way up so Becca would climb up too.

Becca was ready to go home shortly after that.

On Sunday the kids put on their new clothes from Grandma & pa Hatton. Aren't they good looking?

Today Patrick had a Halloween party at pre-school and he was Buzz Lightyear. One of the other boys was dressed as Woody so I took their picture. Becca was not to be left out of course.

Last night we were making sure the costumes fit and shot this great video. Enjoy.

Weekend Away

Mike and I had our first weekend away from the kids. Grandma Jan was nice enough to stay with the kids and as Grandmas often do, she came armed with a present. The doctor's outfit was a big hit. Here Becca is checking Dad's heart.

The rest of this pictures were provided by Aunt Annie who came up for a visit as well.

I don't think the kids missed us at all, do you?

All in all, Mike and I had a great time at Dave and Colleen's wedding. Thank you to them to going above and beyond and providing all those extra things for us. For Grandma's trouble, the kids got her sick. They both had a fever over the weekend but just have running noses this week. We'll keep an eye on them all the same.

Fire trucks and hair cuts

We had a fun weekend despite the winter-like temperatures. We had pizza at the Showalters and both kids begged to hold Teddy. You'd think they hadn't seen him just the day before.

On Sunday there was an open house at the fire station and we stopped in. Patrick loved climbing in the big trucks and making siren noises.

Becca liked driving too but wasn't too fond of the long way down.

They also had some old fire trucks outside that the kids could climb around. I wanted to get in too but couldn't manage with the big baby belly.

After realizing just how cold it was outside, I broke out the winter gear and the kids "helped". Becca looks like she ready to hit the streets.

After the rest of us got ours last night, I attempted to give Becca a little trim this morning. I ended up taking her to Wal-mart after picking-up Patrick from pre-school. I would have done okay except she kept moving right as I started to cut. But at least she can see where she's going now.

Happy birthday to Katie and Davah last week and Heather this week.

Birthday Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated Mike's birthday along with his parents and sister. Here Mike and the kids are making pancakes for Saturday breakfast.

Shozie, Annie's dog, wasted no time finding a comfortable lap to sit in.

And Aunt Annie was a nice change for reading time.

The kids loved playing in Shozie's cage. I think I know what to get them for Christmas.

On Sunday, Mike had his last outdoor soccer game of the season. We brought cake to celebrate everyone making through and Mike's birthday. The team wanted to make sure the team mascots (Patrick and Becca) were in the picture too.

This last picture is from this morning because my children looked so handsome.

We missed the JDRF walk in Columbus again this year but have plans to go next year. As long as Mike can still see the ND game in Ohio State country. The kids continue to grow and Becca is doing better with the potty training. She's not all the way there yet but she's been dry most of the last couple of days. We hope life is well for you and to see you again soon.
