Who needs a nap?

Today my lovely children have decided to laugh and play instead of taking a nap. However, they are in their room and not bothering me while I post some pictures. Everyone remains healthy and adventurous. Becca can now stand on her own for 5 to 10 seconds and Patrick tells me he's a baby from time to time. I'm sure its just for attention but it gets old after awhile.
Last week my Aunt Pat, not to be confused with my sister Pat, stopped for the night on her way home. Here she is with the kids.

Patrick put Becca's hat on under his own for unknown reasons.
Here the kids are treating us to their first piano duet.

Can you believe I got a barrette to stay in Becca's hair?
And the kids love empty diaper boxes. Who needs toys?
Some more silliness.

Having adventured behind the chair, Patrick, and the camera, found Becca attacking the coasters.

July 22

We hope everyone is keeping cool somehow in all this heat. I've had little sleep at night due to Becca's crying every 2 hours. Please, let those teeth come in soon. As a result, I'm tired and take a nap when I can.

The only way to get Becca to sleep right is to hold her.
But we've had fun too. Here Patrick is singing "Old McDonald" with the See'n'Say.

We're thinking of taking the act on the road.

Patrick loves to get piggyback rides.

More fun on the floor.

I'm sure they're plotting something diabolical.

But they do manage to play nice together most of the time.

We'll end the post with a big smile. Enjoy your day!

Happy Bastille Day!

On July 14, 1789 the French workers storm the Bastille for weapons which were never found. The French celebrate this day much as we do the 4th of July. Aren't you all glad I was a history major? Here are some pictures from right before and after our trip to Wisconsin. Enjoy.

Here the kids are waiting for Dad to get home from work.

Becca taking a snooze. I'm not really sure how she stayed on the chair.

Patrick discovered that if he took out a few toys he fits quite nicely in the toy box.

Becca, of course, has to investigate for herself.

On the Lake

We had a fun-filled and relative-filling 4th of July weekend. We went up to Grandma and Grandpa Hatton's house on beautiful Lake Camelot. Mike attempted to ski and didn't do too bad for his first try.

There was lots of haning out. With Great Grandpa...

...with Great Aunt Mary...

...with Grandma...

...with Mom...

...even with Dad.

We were down by the water a lot of the time.

But we were inside too.

It won't be a trip to Grandma & Grandpa Hatton's without torturing Sally and Stella!

We made sure Patrick was safe before we took him out on the water. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for buying the PFDs.

The first day he went out with Dad and Aunt Annie. She's the coolest!

Then Mike and I took him out again on Sunday morning along with Cousin Nick. They both did what they were asked and said they had a nice time.

We hope you all enjoyed the weekend as well.

July 1st

Happy July everyone. We're getting ready to head up north to Grandma & Grandpa Hatton's lakeside home this weekend. We hope you all celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence safely and proudly.

Sleepy Beauties?

She's learning to use tools already! Her father is so proud.

Patrick saw the camera so he came over and pose for me.

Legos are a big deal in the Hatton household. Patrick even let Becca and Dad play with some for awhile.

Two engineers at work.
