Independence Day Weekend

It has been a long time since we took out the camera but hopefully this post will make up for some of that.  We headed north to Lake Camelot to visit with the Hatton clan and celebrate the birth of our nation.  It wasn't long before the kids and the dogs were friends.

George's quickly found the Duplos and was busy for hours.

There was also lots of biking in the drive way.  Patrick got good enough that we let him ride in the street with Grandma Jan following behind.

We did make Becca stay int he driveway.

Patrick upon his return.  I think he had some fun.

Mike gave me his best face.

Great-Grandpa and Grandma look on with pride.

Mike decided to give biking a go as well but I think he needs a bigger bike.

We also had fun in back yard.  Here the kids helped out by picking up stick for the fire pit.

Gwennie helped too.

To celebrated Alan's 30th birthday, Becca picked him some flowers.

He was even nice enough to read the kids a book.

Tom showed George how his camera works.
The high-light of the birthday, for me at least, was all the kids playing with Legos.  Alan built  a great fortress complete with casualties.

On top of swimming every afternoon, biking and Legos, Mike managed to take each kid for a kayak ride.

It took awhile but finally got George to kinda smile for this picture.

Thanks to Mark and Jan Hatton for having all of us at your house for a long weekend.  The kids had a blast and it was wonderful to see so much of the Hatton family.  Thanks to Jan again for providing some of this pictures.  I hope you had a great weekend and I will try to take more pictures.
