Ice Skating

We took the kids ice skating this weekend for some fun before the baby arrives.
I say "we", but it was really all Mike. Here is Patrick sporting his rented skates.

And Becca checked 'em out as well. I can't believe how small her skates were!

All my brave skaters.

Here is an action shot of Mike with Patrick. After this, Mike found another door and didn't go right in front of me again.

Both kids got to go around 3 times with dad and everyone had a great time. We hope you're all doing well and Cronks, we think about you everyday. You'd better hurry up and have that baby or our kids will be born the same day!

Funny stories

Today while Mike replaced our leaking sprayer with a new one...

...Patrick had his own plumbing to do.

I';d like to share some funny stories with you before I forget them. This morning we were watching Thomas and Friends and they played some song. When the song was over Patrick said " That was a good song. I really enjoyed it."

The other day, Becca was showing me the doctor's tools and naming them for me. Holding up a thermometer she says "Its a momenter."
Mom: "Does it go in your mouth?
Becca: " No. In oatmeal."
For those of you who don't watch Sid the Science Kid, the show used oatmeal to demonstrate how a thermometer works.

One more. Patrick finally gets to go back to pre-school this week after a pipe burst. I was putting things in his bag and explaining the new things he'd have to take with him everyday. Becca, not to be left out, said " I need to get my purse." Heaven forbid we go to school without it!

Patrick is 4!

Yesterday we ended 2009 by celebrating Patrick's 4th birthday. He awoke to find a new Bob (the third in a line of overly loved stuffed giraffes) who had "magically" come to him in the night.

Mike first made a stadium shaped cake but it got stuck in the pan. So Pat settled for a ND cake.

With only 5 kids, we invited his whole pre-school class to the party but only two were able to come. Here is Sydnee enjoying some popcorn.

This is the infamous Benjamin K and his mother. If you haven't heard about Benjamin, just ask Pat about his best friend from school.

Not to be left out, Becca helped Pat blow out his candles.

Here are the crazy pre-schools on the couch.

For some reason, Patrick decided to put out all of his toys right before the party ended. Don't worry, his mother made him help clean them up.

Today has been much more restful. Patrick has kept himself busy with new toys.

And wasn't too happy I asked him to look up for this shot.

Becca has also enjoyed the new toys...

and loving Dad.

Happy 2010 to you all and we hope this year brings you good health and happiness!
