Potty Training and Big Girl Beds

Since we had two whole weeks where we didn't really have to go anywhere, besides church, I decided it was time for Lia to learn to use the potty. This in turn, meant it was time to move her from the crib to the toddler bed.  Here she is waking up from her first nap in said bed.

Big Girl!

 Sisters and roomies!

Mike also caught the girls reading a book together.

On of the advantages of having Godparents who live in Europe is you get really awesome gifts.  This cape was hand-made in Estonia.
After a week and a half, she makes it to the potty for #1 but is still doing #2 in her pants.  But she's smart enough to not like that feeling in her pants and get it there very soon.  Please pray for continued patience for me as Mike goes back to work tomorrow and school starting again next week.

Pat's Birthday

Yesterday was Patrick's 9th Birthday.  We, again, celebrated by going ice skating with friends.  Here I am with Pat's buddy Ellie, who was making her first round on the ice, ever.

Those Showalter girls just love Lia.

Miss Becca did just fine but wanted an adult near by just in case.

The birthday boy himself.

 Ellie and Becca.

Ellie made the rounds with Mike as well.

Best friends.

George had a blast with both Mom and Dad.

We brought some cupcakes with us to enjoy.

More hugs and silliness.

Our whole gang enjoying cupcakes and smiling for the many cameras.

9 was a big birthday for Patrick as he received his pocket knife.

It was a fun day with lots of friends skating for the first time (and doing very well) and Patrick having a lot of fun.  Its nice to end every year with a joyful day of celebration.  This morning Patrick said he couldn't believe how fast his birthday went by and that next year he'll be a decade old.  God bless you all in 2015.
