The following pictures come from 5 difference people. I will do my best to limit myself and try not to show the same thing from 5 difference points of view. Google took us off I-70 which took us a bit longer to get to the campsite but the view more than made up for it.
Lunch break.
Now at the campsite just outside of Basalt, CO.
The big tent was for Mary, Cecilia, Mike and myself. Becca opted for the small backpacking single.
The boys shared this spacious two man tent. You can also see the pit toilet in the back ground.
George continued on his fly fishing merit badge but didn't manage to catch anything.

George started the day by checking the balance of the rocks. You can tell that our Midwestern bodies were not use to the mountain morning chill.
I short walk before our first hike.
We took our first hike on Monday.
The climax of the hike was lunch at this beautiful lake.
Some of us took off our shoes and put our feet in, but not for long. It was wonderfully cold.
Back down the mountain we go.
Back at the campsite, the chipmunks were not shy.
