Some firsts

Grandma and pa Sullivan stopped in last weekend on their way to Columbus and ended up baby sitting while I went to a bridal shower and Mike was enjoying Kanka's bachelor party. Becca wasted no time in finding a book for Grandpa to read.

Patrick just enjoyed sitting in his lap.

Later in the week, I brought up the potty so Becca could get used to seeing it around. She decided to take full advantaged and peed in it three times that day. Don't get to excited, she hasn't repeated the performance yet.

Here we have Becca practicing being two. "NO!" has become her answer to everything, even when she's offered ice cream.

This weekend was sunny and 80+ degrees so we were outside as much as possible. Becca's ready to go.

Grandma & pa Sullivan brought a bike with them just right for Patrick. He wasted no time trying it out. He did pretty well but didn't quite understand how to peddle. He'd start off right but when his foot reaching to top on the cycle, he'd push down and back in stead of forward.

He finally get get it but has trouble steering. Mike took a very short video of him riding his bike until he started heading for the street.

Easter

Sorry these are a week late. We had a great Easter. We decided the risk it and dye some eggs which the kids enjoyed. Here they are ready for the lab experiment.


Patrick liked watching the tablets fuzz.

These two say Becca and Pat on them. That's about as creative as I get.

We only dyed 7 eggs because I'm the only one who eats them.

We got all dressed up to go to church on Easter morning and the kids looked really good!


Mike thought I did too.

After church we went over to Showalter's for lunch and an egg hunt. I still need to sort though all the pictures but I was able to find this one.

A special thanks to Grandma & pa Sullivan who stayed with the kids last Saturday so I could go to a bridal shower. I know what a sacrifice it was for you both. The kids vocabulary is too vast to share but feel free to call and ask them yourself. Have a blessed Easter season.

Today as we were on our way to get hair cuts, Patrick had this to say, in a very matter-of-fact tone:
"We have flowers in the back yard. We can smell them. Sometimes they make me sneeze."

Just another day

Not much to report around here. The kids are growing and finding new "toys" to play with everyday. This week they've really been enjoying sitting the toy box.

They do love each other despite the fighting over toys.

There's nothing like a rousing game of "ring-a-round the rosy". Becca enjoys the falling down so much that she does it early in the song.


Patrick's eczema has been rather bad again this week. How can anti-itch cream make you itch more?

Becca proudly displays the shirt I found in the 18-24 month clothes box. It's still a true statement.

As I said, Patrick's itching more but it seems to be on the mend. I'm hoping some warm weather will help in the long run. Becca isn't drooling as much and is sleeping through the night again. Her vocabulary is questionable. We understand her but I'm not sure others would. But you can tell she's trying to speak in full sentences and she very good at saying please and thank you.
