We had two children graduation from their schools this May, George finished his life at Central Primary and Intermediate Schools. First, I was share the pictures one of his teachers sent me of him winning an award. As you can tell, he was thrilled.
I made him take a picture with his 8th grade sign on his last day of school.
Due to the weather, Central had to move the ceremony inside the gym so only Mike and I were able to attend. Here is George coming in.
And his making his way across the floor to receive his completion certificate.
I talked his into taking one last picture at Central. I think he got the best education he could there, but he was very happy to leave that school behind him.
Patrick also graduated this May, but from Chesterton Academy of the Sacred Heart. I made his take the same picture as George.
Pat's graduation took place at St. Philomena's Church in Peoria. Those not graduating were in the choir.
Yes, with a Catholic school, you get a full Mass at graduation.
Three of Patrick's classmate gave speeches that were very good.
Here is the back side of Patrick going up to receive his diploma.
The boys weren't the only ones busy in May. Cecilia scored big at the St. Pat's Awards Night.
May also brought us the Memorial Day parade. The weather was pretty nice this year and no one passed out.
Becca also did her Eagle Scout project in May and early June. Working with the library, she and her team put in 20 post that can hold pages from a book, making a story walk along the bike trail in Washington Park. Thank you to all those who came out to help.
