Happy Mole Day

I know, I haven't updated the blog in awhile.  But hopefully, today's post will make up for that.  I hurt my back awhile back and have been visiting the chiropractor a lot this fall.  And of course, one of those appointments fell at a time when I had all the kids.  Here they are enjoying the accommodations.

We also went to Literacy Night at school.  George had a soccer game so it was just the girls and I making the rounds.

But where was Pat?  He was reading to the kids in one of the classrooms.  Many people made a point of telling me what a wonderful job he did.

Mary and I spend a lot of time together.  Our lives are just full of excitement.

While Lia is listen to stories at the library, I do my best to keep Mary entertained.

These nut jobs get some quality time after the others go to bed.  Mary likes to run around the chair and say "boo!" to Pat.

George's Wolf den went to the firehouse last weekend along with our pack Tiger cubs.  Here are most of them with one of the trucks and Smoky the dog.

Becca and her friend Lydia also came to fulfill some of their AHG requirements.

Somehow George talked a fireman into letting him have the radio-headphones.

As you can see, we have been busy.  Soccer and Cross Country are over, which leaves us with Cub and Boy Scouts and AHG....at least until basketball starts.   I got nothing fun to end this with.

How is it October?

It has been a busy and crazy September.  The weather has been all over the place and so have we.  Let's start with a picture of Mary enjoying a brownie.

George got some silly string at a party.  Here he is ready to shot me with it.

Becca had a friend over and they made monkey bread.  It was delicious.

Mary like to write with the left hand but she eats with her right hand.  Way to keep us guessing.

What would Mike do without a baby on his shoulders during at least one soccer game a season.  I'm sad to say we will soon find out.

Patrick is working his way up the ranks at Boy Scouts.  Last Sunday he earned his tenderfoot and he's well on his way to getting his second class.

Some brotherly love.
This Friday was the Homecoming parade. As Patrick marched with the St. Pat's band, the rest of us marched with Cub Scout Pack 168.  Here are a couple of Tiger's holding the banner.

And George being goofy...as always.

Mary was not happy to be strapped in.  She fell asleep about 5 minutes after this was taken.

All ready to go!

Patrick wrapped up his second season of Cross Country this past week.  He did not make varsity this year, but he learned that he needs to work a bit harder for that goal.  He love Scouts and is doing well in school.
Rebecca continues to knock peoples socks off academically and has been working hard at soccer.  She has joined an American Heritage Girls troop and has already set her sights on their highest honor, the Stars and Stripes award.  We are working it one badge at a time.
George got a 100% on his spelling test this week!  He doesn't talk much about school but I've seen progress here at home.  We just started reading "The Rats of NIHM".
Cecilia is loving preK-4, but she did have trouble going to Mass with the class.  She cried!  I told her I'd be there but every time she looked back at me, she'd get all teary again.  It was heartbreaking.  She was fine the next week.
Mary is as cute as ever and well aware of it.  She enjoys charming random people with a smile and "Hi!".  She's finding more words everyday and is generally just a happy little bugger.  But be sure to share your snack with her or she'll let you have it.
