Lot of Pictures

Okay, I have all this pictures to share so enjoy.  The girls at soccer.

We went to the Gamma Phi circus at Illinois State last month with the Cub Scouts.

For Earth Day Becca made a dress out of recycled materials.  This is what she designed.

It has been a busy month but I think that's just the way life is with four kids.  Despite our adventures this morning, we are all healthy and loving life.

ER trip #3!

Today we made our third trip to the ER, this time for George.  He tripped on the way into school this morning and his face meet the asphalt.  After I got him up and about ten steps, I saw the blood gushing down his chin.  I got him inside and help from the school office (Thank you ladies!)  There was so much blood!  After cleaning it off his face, I noticed a chunk of asphalt in his lip that I removed.  Then I noticed the hole in his tooth line!  With all the paper towels and an icepack, we made our way to the ER where Dad meet us.  Here is George with Mike as we waited to go back.

He calmed down after we saw the nurse, at least enough to smile for the camera.  Holy swollen lip!

They gave him a little something to numb his lip (pictured below) followed by a nose squirt of meds to help keep him calm.  If you know George, you know he do NOT like to be messed with.  All this to prep him for two stitches.

 I now know what a drunk George is like.

 The adventures ended with two small children passed out in the car.

He fell about 7:45, we got home at 1.  We've had a lunch of chocolate chip cookies (which always makes you feel better) and are not just relaxing.  The challenge the next few days is keeping him from licking his lip.  

Spring Break!

We are spending our spring break at home.  But we've had lots of friends over to help pass the time.  Sam did Lia's hair!

Today, right now even, we are having a concert with Lydia and Ellie.  This is where the waiting performers sit.

April Is Here

I only have a few pictures to share.  Here is George at story time, sitting nicely and listening to the stories.

George asked me to come downstairs for a surprise.  This is what he showed me.  I think he said it was a fairy dust dispenser.

Backlog and Blue Gold

I have a few pictures I need to share from the past month.  First we have George, Lia, and Mariah dancing in the lobby of the eye doctors as we waited to get George's glasses adjusted.

I think this was taken last week after I parked the car to pick up the school kids.  But they don't need to take a nap.

Last Saturday was the Daddy/Daughter Dance at St. Pats.  Lia really wanted to go but she's not old enough yet. 

But she could be in a picture.

Today Becca's class lead Mass and she got to do the introduction.  She, of course, was fabulous.

The last weekend in Feburary we had the Blue Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts.  Patrick got to be in the color guard.

Becca was excited to see some of her classmates and George just loves Cub Scouts.

Everyone continues to be healthy and do well at school.  George still loves his glasses and the strap I got to keep them on his face.  As I mentioned, Lia has decided she's too big for naps but I'm pretty sure she's asleep in the chair right now. We are so happy and excited to see the sun out and the snow start to melt away.  Spring is in the air at last.

Glasses for George and the Field Musuem

We need to start off with the big new.  George was in need of glasses and they finally came in on Friday.  They need to be adjusted already but he looks great.  And he can see!

We learned that Illinois residents get free admission to the Field Museum this month.  So we head to Chicago early this morning and spent the day exploring.  We still had to wait in line.

And then we met Sue.

Stuffed animals are fun for everyone, except me.

Becca and Pat gave Sue a hug.  George refused and then told me he was gonna kill her.

In the discovery section where they can touch whatever they want.  We'll start in the Pueblo.

Finally, we go to the dinosaurs!  The kids were very excited.

When Lia saw the stegosaurus she said "Wow!"  Becca like it too.

 We learned lots of cool stuff today but my favorite was the Irish deer.  Look at those antlers!

It was a lot of time in the car but totally worth it.  Everyone had a blast and we had a great talk about the Earth and how it's changed.  We've already made plans to return when its free again.
