Another school has come to an end for most of the Hatton children (George is finished on Tuesday). Patrick completed his first year of high school. That's about all that can be said nicely there. Here are a couple of pictures from his band concert back on May 11th.
Mary completed preK4 on May 20th. She is very much looking forward to starting Kindergarten in August.
Mary wanted to bring her baby doll to school pickup with the carrier.
The lilacs looked and smelled so wonderful, I had to get a picture with Our Lady.
Mary is playing t-ball this spring/summer. We never know if she's gonna bat left or right until she gets up there.
It looks like she went right this time.
On 3rd ready to run home.
Safe!
And back to the dugout after a hard run.
Every once and awhile, Mike and I leave the kids home and go out for dinner. We're usually back before bed time but its always nice to hang out.
As of June 1st, all 5 kids are register members of BSA: Mary is a Lion, Cecilia is a Bear, George is about to finish he Tenderfoot, Becca is First Class and SPL, and Patrick is Life but within reach of his Eagle. Here they are ready for the Memorial Day parade to start. Mike and I are registered leaders and merit badge counselors as well.
At no point does Patrick smile for the camera. He does at other times.
Covid made school different this past year, to say the least. But the kids all managed to get by with good grades (Becca got all As!) and are not much worse for the wear. I applied for a job for the first time in 16 years yesterday. Hopefully future employers will look at 15 years of motherhood as excellent training for whatever. God bless you all.
