First Days of Summer

Yesterday was the first full day of our summer break and George celebrated by getting a black eye!  The kids were in the back yard when I heard crying and meet George on the stairs.  Nobody seems to know what happened but you can see the results.

It was very muggy so the kids decided to spend most of the afternoon inside playing with Legos.  Patrick looks so old in this picture.

Miss Becca being cute.

George loves his little sister and she thinks he's the coolest person ever!

Yesterday Lia figured out how to get herself around and made it over to where the other kids were playing.  I've been preparing them for this for weeks and they were really good about using fewer Legos and keeping the lids on containers.

George built an awesome tower yesterday and asked me to take a picture.

Lia remember how to get around this morning and wasted no time getting to the Legos.

We also had an unwelcome visitor the last two nights.  I woke up around 3 Wednesday morning to a strange sound.  Turns out it was a bat!  We thought we chased it out the door but it turned up again that night.  Mike and I checked the house, me with a broom, he with a Lacrosse stick, but we didn't find it.  Later, Mike informed me he had found, trapped and taken the creature outside.  Mike has been working late nights trying to get the house ready to sell.  We're hoping to get in on the market in a couple of weeks.  We're not leaving Washington, we just need a little more room.  I hope life is treating you all well and you have a great summer.

6 month photo shoot

I don't know if I'm getting better or if my subjects are just that amazing, but I think these pictures from the Hatton Photo Studio turned out pretty stinkin' cute.

I know we've featured Cecilia a lot lately but she's had some major events going on lately.  I promise to take the camera to tee-ball and baseball and get some of the older kids next month.

Cecilia's Baptism

This weekend our little angel became an official child of God when she was baptized.  Here she is with her Godfather Pete.

The Katricaks also made the trip from Ohio and Becca found room in her Godfather's lap to hear a book with Rose.

The other end of the couch was busy too.

Our boys kept themselves busy with toys while we waiting for church to start.

I thought these next three shots were kinda cool.  Lia looks really cute in them.

Rose and her dad keeping busy as we wait after Mass for the baptism to start.

Rose on the go.

Rose even got Pete wrapped around his finger.

Father and Godfather I think will always be watching her this closely.

Here are some shots with the Godparents, Pete and Mistelle.

Now its time to get anointed!  I really loved having all the kids around the fount.

As much as she cried the rest of the day, she didn't say boo when the cold water hit her forehead.

Pete lights the candle.

Here were all are in our traditional post-baptism picture.  This is the one that will go in the frame in Cecilia's room.

Thanks Pete and Mistelle Godlewski for being our little girls Godparents.  I don't think we could have made a better choice.

I know a lot of you were unable to come to our celebration but thank you so much for those who were here.  It is the last of this Hatton clans baptism (unless they baptist dogs now).  Next year will be our first First Communion and we hope you can all make it to party with Patrick.

Pre-School Picnic

Yesterday Becca had her final day of preschool.  We celebrated at the park and kids had fun on the playground.

Even little brothers and sisters had fun.

Thanks Tonya for holding Cecilia so I could take some pictures.

Each student was given a certificate and hugs from the teachers.  Mrs. Borrowman and Mrs. B are fabulous teachers!

We even managed to get a shot with the whole class.  Watch out St. Pat's because these kids are ready for kindergarten!
