Holy Week with the Hattons

We started our Holy Week a bit early this year with Patrick's class preforming the Living Stations of the Cross on Friday.  Because he's so skinny, he got to be Jesus.  That why the other kids could pick him up.

That had to put him in the tomb.
Mary allowed me to but pig-tails in her hair that morning.  They didn't last more than a hour, but I got some pictures before she pulled them out.

She really wants to go to school with the other kids.  I keep telling her she's got to use the potty first.

We also got 6-9in of snow that day.  Can you see the huge snow boulder at the driveway?

Mary practicing her cutting skills.

Becca served at Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday night.  She asked me to use the curlers in her hair.

Easter Morning is  great time to get a family picture in.
George cheesed it up for me.

Now with the gold side Mom!  And some sisters.

Despite the snow, we had a lovely Easter complete with Resurrection Rolls made by Becca.  I hope you all have a blessed Easter season.

What's Been Going On

Patrick had to make a pinata for Spanish class but was absent the day the teams were picked.  So that meant we had to help him.  Here is the the USS Enterprise.

yPatrick finished up is basketball season.  He didn't get the most playing time, but he tried really hard and learned the game.

Two weeks ago, Mary left the crib behind and moved into the toddler bed.  She loves it.  She giggles whenever she sees it and is pretty good about staying in it.

Lia wanted to do my hair.
And since Mary won't be left out, she did Dad's.

The girls in a doctor's office.  We've been there a lot lately so I have no idea which time this was.

As I said, we've had some sickness in the house.  This was the night George and Becca fell to it.

I've been wanting to hang the kids art work up for some time now.

I guess Becca found my phone.

We made a trip to the Peoria Riverfront Museum last weekend.  This is behind the building.
Before we enjoyed the planetarian show, the kids got to be astronauts.

George brought home the class pet on Friday.  His name is Cooper and he's the cleanest dog ever.

Becca also finished up her basketball season.

The kids health is on the up swing with the warmer weather and fresh air.  We have another busy week ahead of us before our spring break next week.

Birthdays!

We have two birthdays in February.   On the 2nd George turned 8!  Patrick had a basketball game that day so our celebration was short and sweet with pizza and ice cream.

Two weeks later, Mary turned two.

She loves to swing (and we needed some new ones anyway).

A cute outfit with a dog on it from G&G S.

The biggest and favorite gift was from her Godmother.  My idea, thank you.
A new kitchen playset!  We had two little girls excited about this one.

Here it is in the basement.  This makes the third kitchen set we've had but I don't think the boys can climb on or jump off of this one.

She was so excited to play with it she wouldn't even smile for the camera.

I don't remember what we were all doing in bed, but it's a cute picture.

After coming in 1st for his den, George got to compete in the District Pinewood Derby.  Here he is checking in.

He just missed making it to the final round but he got 4th place in workmanship.

Mary loved his car!

We are busy as always.  Between Scouts, basketball and driving everyone to and from school, Mary and I don't get much time at home.  Which is delaying potty training.  She clearly understands what needs to happen, so I'm hopeful once she decides she wants to she will.  Come back soon for more updates.
