Other Happenings

My parents broke their journey to Ohio with us this past weekend.  The kids were thrilled to see G&G Sullivan, except maybe Mary.

Look, Grandpa Sullivan and a baby!  It must run in the family.

Two of my girls.

Me torturing George.

Up close of Mary.

Becca is such a beauty, especially first thing in the morning!

George lost his first tooth, other than the one that resulted in a trip to the ER.  He looks even more silly now.

On top of being the first day of school, it is also Mary's 6 month birthday.  She enjoys rolling around, putting things in her mouth and is trying desperately to crawl.  She's had some rice and oatmeal cereal and will be trying some fruit later this week.  She remains the sweet, wonderful baby we brought home in February.

Mary has had enough of me on the computer so I'll be going now.

First Day of School

It's hard to believe but today is the first day of school for three of my kids. Patrick started 5th grade, which means school sports (he already started Cross Country practices), band, and switching classrooms.

George is in 1st grade this year, which means spelling test and sitting still more.  Good luck buddy...and Mrs. Hedden.

This tall girl is starting 3rd grade, which I'm told is a tough year at St. Pats.  Patrick handled it just fine, so Becca should follow suit.

All five of my awesome kids.  I know George doesn't look so thrilled but its because he didn't get to hold Mary...I think.

The boys!

The girls!

Under the sign at school.

I took a picture of each kid in his/her classroom but some how the one of George didn't get saved.

Lia and Mary back in the car.

We ended the school 1/2 day with pizza!

The first day seems to have gone well.  George had a moment because he "was bored".  Here's to a good school year for u and to all of you.

First Solid Foods

Mary started eating rice cereal this past Sunday.  Here are a few of the photo Mike took of this milestone.

She did a pretty good job and was good enough to clearly let us know when she had had her fill.

Lia at the library demanding that I take her picture.

This is way I took out the camera.  Patrick build a fashion runway.
I don't know why Becca did this, but she claimed that Mary loved wearing the glasses.
School starts next Tuesday so come back next week and maybe I'll have some pictures up.

While the Cat's Away...

Mike and Patrick are off Scouting this weekend so the rest of us are living it up!  We took a walk to the spray park last night and had a blast.

After telling the kids to go outside 4 million times, I decided we needed to go for a walk/bike ride.  We ended up at the same park we went to last night but without swim suits.  I thought it was time for Mary to try the swings.

We couldn't really tell what she thought until George got in front of her.  Then the giggling started.

Lia had some fun too!

This may be my favorite picture of all time.  Look how happy she is!

We are doing pretty well with two of our clan missing.  Mary has become a rolling fool, back to front, front to back.  I found her with her legs through the bars of the crib the other morning and I think she's ready for some rice cereal.  They're all growing up so fast, I must learn to freeze time.

End of July Already?

School starts again soon and the summer is almost over.  We've managed to keep busy and not kill each other...yet.  Let's begin with the girls at George's baseball tournament game.

Floor time!

Looking good in sparkles.

George will do anything to make Mary laugh.  Like this silliness.

Patrick decided to take some pictures of me holding Mary.  I'm only going to share a few.

Imaginations flow free in our basement and sometimes trickle up the stairs.
On the way home after a long, hot, fun day at a lake.

But Lia's still wide awake!

George and Mary just hanging.

She looks so sweet.

There is usually a fight over who gets to hold Mary.  This morning Patrick got a chance.

As I said, school starts in about two weeks.  Swim team and swimming lessons are finished, Totus Tuus (vacation bible school) was this past week, and we're all starting to get on each other's nerves.  I think we can make it to Thursday which is Prep Day and then everyone will be switching to school mode.

George has his first loose tooth (really there's two) and Becca and Pat both have some ready to come out as well.  Mary is drooling up and storm and you can see the teeth right under the gums.  Lia's teeth remain fulling in tacked.  Mary has been busy trying to do several things at once but she finally decided to roll over again today, twice.  Then she scooted across the floor for a bit.   All in all, everyone is healthy and fairly happy.
