Pinewood Derby

We had the St. Pat's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby last Saturday. Here are our pictures.

These are kinda cool.  Watch the boys follow the cars as the zoom by.

Becca found another sister to run around with.

I hope you enjoyed our pictures.  Come back for some more.

Patrick is 8!

For Patrick's 8th birthday, we went ice skating (It's become somewhat of a tradition).  Here are the kids on the ice.

Then we headed back home to eat cake.  Pat asked for white cake with white frosting and chocolate ganache.  Oh, and sprinkles on top!

As always, Patrick was very excited.

Lia even gave me a break and hung out with Pat Showalter for awhile.

Let's cut the cake.

It's hard to believe that Patrick is 8 years old already.  He's half way to 16!  He's growing up way to fast for me.  In other news, we'd like to welcome Jacob Katricak to our trombone family.  We can't wait to meet him sometime in the spring (I hope!).  That's it for now.

Random Cuteness!

While running around town, George and Lia feel asleep in the car.  I was able to move this to the couch and get this picture.

Hello sweetheart.

Na na na na, Batgirl!

...with a fairy flair.

George is ready to cut some wood or at least watch.

They had a green candy cane.

I don't have any idea what she's looking at.

Everyone loves Cecilia.

I love this one!

Christmas Like Stuff

We failed to take the camera out at both family gatherings and Christmas morning but here are what we got.  We went to a Christmas potluck where Jude and Lia checked out the tree and Nativity scene.

Pia and Lia.

Patrick asked to sit with his buddy Ellie and he chatted up one of the teachers.

Santa also came, read a story to the kids and they asked what they wanted.

Patrick asked for a travel pillow, which Santa brought a little so that he could have it on the trip to South Bend.

George asked Santa for a Christmas card.  He was very excited to get a Play-mobile helicopter instead.

Becca asked Santa for three surprises, but Mom knew what she wanted.
Ellie was smart and wrote out a little book cataloging what she wanted.

Lia and Rose running around together.

Later that week the kids had their Christmas concert.  Here Pat singing his heart out.

2nd grade back stage.

They had a grand finale with the whole school singing "I'm dreaming of a mustache Christmas".

We also made the annual trek to South Bend to see the Sullivan family.  Here's a nice picture of Lauren, myself, Teresa, and Lia.

It was all too much partying for George.

As I said, we failed to take out our camera for the gift giving.  These pictures from South Bend are from my cousin.  The kids cleaned up again this Christmas with many Lego sets and various My Little Pony toys.  We hope you feel as blessed as we this season and continue to do so.
